Ready for Kindergarten

I can't believe this day has come....my "baby" is graduating from pre-school tomorrow and will be starting Kindergarten in a few weeks. I think I'll do better on her first day than I did on John Tanner's just because she is SO ready. She is so bright and is ready for this next big chapter in her life. I told her that I'd take her to school her first day to meet her teacher and to take pictures and she said "Mom, I don't need you to do that, I'll just ride the bus with Bubby." No way I said - I get this moment - you can start riding the bus on the second day!
Her graduation from "Kindergarten Bootcamp" will be amusing. We know that the group will be reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and will be singing "The National Anthem" and we might be in a bit of trouble.....the teachers have asked us to please make Danielle understand that she can't scream "Play Ball" at the end of the anthem.....Oh help!!! It's going to happen anyway....I just know it. Maybe she'll have stage fright like she did singing at church. Although her teacher says she sings louder than anyone...which we already suspected. She practices singing the National Anthem while sitting on the toilet - that is how we know she is somewhere in the house going potty. She is usually singing at the top of her lungs. Anyway, I will post pictures and hopefully video of her graduation ceremony tomorrow night. Love this picture...she's a cutie, isn't she?
